Cancer Survivors Are Finally Urged to Eat Better and Exercise. Why not do that before cancer strikes?

The American Cancer Society recently issued new guidelines that call on doctors to talk with their cancer patients about exercising, eating more wisely and losing weight if needed.   While cancer society officials have recognized the importance of these activities for many years, they are concerned that the medical profession has not been so quick to advise patients this way, which could possibly save years of pain and life itself.

Why are chemotherapy, radiation and surgery the immediate choices for cancer patients when so much research is also showing the power to fortify and heal the body with certain foods and supplements, plus healthy lifestyle activities?
