Soy Protein My Help Reduce Blood Pressure

Soy protein in your diet may be an important nutritional strategy for the prevention or treatment of hypertension, according to a recent meta-analysis.   


The data from 27 previous randomized clinical trials was compiled and analyzed as a whole.  Treatment groups were given a diet that contained soy protein, while control groups were given a non-soy protein based diet.


The results of the study show a noteworthy decrease in both systolic and diastolic blood pressure in the test group over the control group.
