Exercise at Your Desk – Part 1



Do you ever feel tired or restless at work? Exercise is a key component of a person’s health. Many people use the excuse, “I don’t have time to work out.” We have a few suggestions to solve this age-old problem.  

Why not work out while sitting
at your desk?

There are several exercises you can do to eliminate grogginess and weariness.

You may ask, “How is it possible to exercise at my desk and work at the same time?” It’s easy. Would you believe that something as simple as a few butt squeezes or arm raises can improve your overall health tremendously? Well believe it, because it’s true.

Small exercises such as these can also help to improve your mood because of increases in adrenaline. Endorphins are released after even a  brief work out that can improve a person’s mood almost instantly. Have you ever started falling asleep at work, stretched your arms out as far as they could go, and then went right back to work feeling a little more awake? This is the exact same thing.

Try it on a larger scale. Doing twists, stretches, and tightening and releasing muscles can be done while sitting at your desk. They do not require extreme exertion and can help improve mood and overall health.  A series of twists or stretches also remove your eyes from the computer and hands from the keyboard – necessary breaks for good health.
