Three Time World Champion Boxer Chooses Usana

Jose Antonio Rivera was the two-time World Champion in welterweight boxing when he was introduced to the Usana products.

"However, I had just lost a second world title, and was even wondering if it was time to retire," explains Jose. " But the Usana products re-energized my career. It was the best my body ever felt."

At age 33, May 2006 he won his third world title, moving up a weight class to junior middleweight. "It was the best performance of my career," he says.

Jose retired in 2008 to spend more time with his family. A court officer with the state of Massachusetts, he also trains kids at the Boys and Girls Club where he began his own training at the age of 16. This helped him focus and to get through some rough patches in his young life, living on his own right through high school. Now he is recruited to speak to kids in schools across the United States.

"It was those tough times that made me strong enough to become a world champion," Jose explains. " You have to persevere. Refuse to lose."

He takes that same attitude in building his Usana business. He is working hard to move from Silver Director on up to Gold and beyond.

"I want to inspire people with Usana," Jose says. "In the tough times, encourage them to keep their eye on the dream."
