Eggnog, Chocolate Martinis Pack Calories

"Canadians will consume more than eight million litres of eggnog this holiday season - enough to fill around 180 domestic swimming pools" according to the latest data from Statistics Canada.

With 19 grams of fat per cup, equal to a bacon cheeseburger, that's a lot of calories to burn off. Jared Connell, Canada's top tennis player for his age group, (seen in this photo) would need to be on the bike, working the stretch bands, for about an hour. That's too long for me, so I'll pass on the eggnog this year.

During the holiday season, choose your drinks carefully - Calories:
Standard soft drink 140
Chocolate martini 438
Large margarita 408
Glass of red/white wine 100
Flute of champagne 115
Standard beer 150
Rev3 energy drink
Rev3 surge packs 10

Or, drink a Starbuck's caramel brulee latte with 580 calories and keep working out on that bicycle!

  1. Too funny...and SCARY, Deanna! Thanks for the reminder that you need to work off whatever you put in. Here's an option. You could go for the chocolate martini and then not eat all day!! (or NOT!!) :) Susan
